Once upon a time there were these things called record stores.  True story.  They sold records and then came along cassette tapes and then compact discs.  At bigger stores, like Tower Records, bands would sometimes do an "in store" appearance to promote a new album.  That's what this little performance is.  Truth be told, I don't listen to Cowboy Junkies.  I do have an EP of theirs which I bought (not at a record store) only because it has covers of Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young on it . . . but I haven't listened to it in . . . gotta be about 10 years now.

Anyway, this is a decent little audience recording.  I was particularly drawn to it because of the cover, right at the top of the set, of Bruce Springsteen's State Trooper.  I had to hear it!  This was probably a small gathering of . . . 50 people?  No clue.  But they cheer loudly between songs.  Fortunately the mic used pics up the music great to be louder than the crowd.  All who are there are probably pretty into the band so they are respectful of the music and appreciative of being able to see them so up close & personal.

Listening to this just might get me to listen to them more than once every ten years.  And I just found out they are on Archive.org so their shows are free to download 24 hours a day, always there!
