Pretty good recording.  Not every instrument is crystal clear in the mix but then again, this is kind of a grungy Neil sound and so everything blending together just almost feels right.  One gripe might be the vocals are not that up front all the time.  Crowd noise between songs isn't too bad, not to the point you have to reach for the volume as that's one thing that can really spoil a great audience recording, even if the music is loud and clear, the between song crowd noise can be so bad but not too much here.  This is really pretty nice and I'm inclined to go to about an A grade, I think a 9.3 out of 10 for an audience recording.

That lineage for this show looks ludicrous to me but the sound quality is exceptional!  I do believe this was broadcast on television in Deutschland and is available in (bootleg) DVD form although I really don't think this audio is derived from that video, seems like if it was it would have more crowd noise typical of a television broadcast but maybe they do things differently in Europe than in the U.S. where they feel the need to pipe in crowd noise to make the viewer feel like he is there.  In any case, after that run-on sentence, the soundboard here is crisp and beautiful and do I even wanna dare say it's a 10 out of 10 for the perfect A+? Man, it sure does feel like that!  My only gripe is the first song starts off so fast without any crowd noise fade in or introduction of any kind.  And it seems like such a strange opener for Tom but from there on out it feels like a great Petty show.  I know this has been posted for sure by others before but here it is again for anyone who does not have it.  Definitely a top quality recording, maybe one of the best I'll ever post!

Apparently there is at least one other source of this show, more complete by filling in a few songs.  Seems there might be two other sources.  Now usually I despise incomplete shows.  Hate 'em.  But mayhaps my stance on them is changing a little cuz I'm not really minding listening to this.  The King Biscuit Flower Hour showed up at this show and recorded it for posterity . . . not like there's a lack of EC soundboards from the 80's but anyway, they featured this show on their program but had to cut out some songs and cram in a few commercials for the hour long time slot.  I loved these when I was younger and listened to the radio before I ever knew about owning a bootleg concert recording in its entirety.  But even though the K.B.F.H. mixes in a little bit of unnecessary audience noise, I'm still diggin' this one.  9.8 out of 10.

A short but sweet set by DMB kicks off the evening and what a fantastic recording that is, essentially CD-quality!  It's not perfect, unfortunately, as there is a high pitched whine through the first several tracks (I think it goes away) that can be heard when the music is low/between songs.  When the music is kickin', the whine can't even be heard.  If that issue didn't exist it would be a 10 out of 10!  It's really not too bad and didn't distract me terribly.

Quality for the Phish show is definitely above average, especially for 1994, really an excellent audience recording.  Why is one soundboard and one an audience?  DMB was cool like that in 1994 while Phish . . . I dunno how many '94 SBDs there are but maybe it wasn't as common for them that year as their popularity had definitely picked up by this point and there isn't a known soundboard for this show.   Soundboards not always needed, though, as this is almost an A+ for auds -- I'll go about a 9.6/10.

For the encore, I ditched the audience sourced Phish tracks and tacked on a Soundboard finish courtesy of the Dave Matthews Band recording.  Because the finale includes DMB members, I guess it got recorded . . . although how would they know ahead of time???  Perhaps the whole Phish show got recorded from the soundboard?  In any case, the finale did and it was included with the DMB files so here it is.  Well worth changing from aud to sbd for those like 22 minutes, I think it is.  A most excellent end to the night.

Very nice audience recording, well taken care of through the years and expertly converted for digital listening.  It does have one major flaw, unfortunately -- there's a tape flip during Station To Station and the sound quality isn't as great for the three-song encore.  Kind of disappointing but but you probably won't ever get a better copy and for the whole tour this might be one of the best audience recordings there is, at least overall.  It is what it is and most of the show can be incredibly enjoyed.  Seems like perhaps the vocals are a little distant sounding at first but they also seem to improve as the show goes on.  Energetic and sounding great, this is a very good '78 listen for Bowie!  Up through the tape flip flaw, I give this about a . . . maybe a 9.4 out 10 for a good solid A grade.

A mostly excellent recording that I would be quite pleased with if I was the taper.  So few issues here that mentioning them seems pointless.  Overall just a fantastic listen!  I absolutely love when the crowd noise between songs goes no louder than the music is which makes this an great capture without too many loud people around the mics.  And it's Sir Paul!!  I love so much music but this right here is about as awesome as it gets.  Okay, so some of the newer Macca material could be replaced by so much else but altogether it's an incredible night of music!  This ain't no little hour and 40 minute Bob Dylan show here, this is nearly 3 hours!  Yeah, there's stoppage between many songs here to tell a story or something but still it's just a great time from start to finish!  This man is a planetary treasure!

Trying to figure out whether it's a soundboard or an audience recording is not an easy task and had me in fits of perplexity.  Second listen and it still does. I'm really not believing it's an aud because the instruments all come through note for note.  If it's a straight soundboard feed, because of the crowd noise between songs, there must be an open mic on stage which captures all that?  Or it's just one heck of an aud!  Because of the age, though, as this is from an old tape it's not as crystal clear as a new recording would be.  There is some light hiss.  Still it sounds excellent.  And the show itself is fantastic.  I've loved every live era of The Cure but there's something about these early years that is extra special.  Very cool feel here in this roller skating rink on the first night of the Fourteen Explicit Moments Tour.  So it might be an aud because the vocals sound a little but distant at times but then how does the music sound so clear and loud?  Perplexing, see?!  Whatever it is it's a sweet listen.

Not a bad recording.  But it doesn't really impress me, either.  Levels are low so you gotta turn it way up.  It's got good sound, good vocals, most of the band is there, crowd isn't distracting or too loud between songs.  I mean, for a basketball arena of that size it's really a decent capture.  There just isn't anything here to really wow me.  It is Bob Dylan, though, so for any fan it's absolutely worth the listen!

Rockin' show!  Frank's playing ahead of a brand new album soon to come out (Teenager Of The Year) so any diehards in the crowd don't know about a dozen of the songs played.  Very nice recording.  Excellent recording?  Just about!  Very few distractions, a few talkers but so faint and brief, also a few tracking mistakes but they are incredibly minor . . . still they make me wanna track this one myself, get it better than it was done.  Above everything the music sounds great and there are no major issues here!  I'm goin' with about a 9.2 out of 10 so an A- which is still Excellent and absolutely worth listening to!

Definitely right channel heavy.  It's too bad whoever remastered this did not equalize the channels.  If you can get over that it sounds pretty good.  There are still innumerable clicks/pops but they're quite faint, noticeable but not loud.  Seems like most of 'em are within the first several songs and they lessen from then out but are usually there in each track.  I am still very much enjoying this recording.  Great show with one little not-so-normal part, the Kraftwerk song with a guest singer.  They steamroll right up to that point then after that odd moment in the show they roll right on through to the end without missing a beat.  It's not an A+, some might even say A- but I'm goin' with about a 9.3 out of 10 for an A.  I do love this show and will definitely play it again!

A private party at $500 a person for the grand opening of a new ballroom at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.  I'm not sure if everyone seeing Sheryl Crow paid $500 or not but it kinda seems like this is not a room full of her fans who know all her lyrics.  That kinda takes away from the greatness of the show but Sheryl rolls with it best she can.  As far as the recording goes, my first impression is that it's kinda lacking in the low end and feels a little distant but nothing terrible.  Sheryl's vocals are loud and clear and the band sounds fine.  It's definitely a good recording that had me up and dancing a time or two (maybe three!)  9.2 out of 10 for an A- which is still excellent and worth listening to!  And yes, that is Led Zeppelin's Rock and Roll as the final song of the show.  Very cool!

The legend keeps a-rollin'.  I wasn't really looking to collect any 2017 European Bob but the opportunity presented itself at the right time and here's my newest Dylan show, fairly hot off the presses, to use an old expression.  Sound quality seems to get better around the half way mark, or at least that's about when I started to really notice the sometimes soundboard-like quality shining through.  Crowd noise is moderate and nothing horribly distracting or ear shattering.  A sweet capture for the last hour but I think the first songs with mushy-kinda sound mighta been the house's problem and slowly the sound guys got it together.  Definitely an A grade show, an excellent 9.5 out of 10.

This is weird music, man.  Actually it's the lyrics and the style they're sang that's odd.  The music itself is often top notch, kick ass, tightly well played.  And new to me.  I've loved and listened to rock and roll all my life, well, since I was like 8-ish, since the very launch of MTV (back when it was relevant, when they actually had something to do with music!)  I grew up listening to one of the best rock and roll radio stations on the planet -- WNEW-FM in New York City.  But I never really listened to Frank Zappa.  That's whose music is being played here, right?  Ha ha, yes, of course it is.  Interestingly I got into Dweezil Zappa when he released albums in the 80's, but never Frank.  I have started downloading his albums with the intent of listening to his whole catalog in order but haven't really gotten to it yet.  So listening to this is kinda sorta expanding my musical horizons.  It is.  And my impression of it -- weird.  But good.  And since I never really listened to Frank, there's nothing for me to compare to which is probably a great thing, I get to just take it as it is!  As far as the sound quality of the recording -- at times it sounds like a soundboard.  Super impressive as the instruments come in so clearly, so distinctly.  Vocals, too.  The crowd noise isn't terrible but when Dweezil's talkin' to the crowd, you do gotta turn it up and be a little aware of the the volume as a few people wanna shout something back at him or the sound at that point is a little low so might actually wanna turn it up to hear him better.  Overall, an excellent recording and as far as auds go, I'm going (low) A+ on this one, about a 9.7 out of 10.

Some call this show legendary.  Why?  Because there exists such great audio and video recordings compared to other shows of the same tour?  Yeah, the band is tight, the songs are smokin' and it's an awesome listen top to bottom . . . but what gives it that extra special something to make it legendary?  I dunno.  What I do know is it sounds fantastic!  It's clear between songs that it's an audience recording but usually it sounds just like a freakin' soundboard!  Awesome show!
